And worship was awesome as well!

His Call’s music team is really growing!!

神様、ここにいる～～～～ッッッ♥ってみんな分かった！！
It was like “Wow God is right here right now!!!!”

初めてチャーチに来た子たちさえ、ジャンプして喜んでた！！
Even new visitors were rejoicing and jumping!!

この日はモーニングサービスで、ヒズコールの主任牧師である政人先生の奥さん、由美先生がアツくメッセージをしてくれた。タイトルは「イエス自身があなたをみちびく」！そのメッセージをここでシェアしたい。
This time our beautiful Ps. Yumi Hosoe shared a message at the Morning Service. The title was “Jesus Himself leads you”! And I want to share it here.

聖書箇所はルカの8:22－26で、弟子たちとイエス様が湖を渡るときに突風が吹いて、イエス様が風と波を鎮めるという有名なシーン。
The Bible verses were Luke 8:22-26, where Jesus calms down the wind and the waves and which is a famous scene.

そのころのある日のこと、イエスは弟子たちといっしょに舟に乗り、「さあ、湖の向こう岸へ渡ろう。」と言われた。それで弟子たちは舟を出した。舟で渡っている間にイエスはぐっすり眠ってしまわれた。ところが突風が湖に吹きおろして来たので、弟子たちは水をかぶって危険になった。そこで、彼らは近寄って行ってイエスを起こし、「先生、先生。私たちはおぼれて死にそうです。」と言った。イエスは、起き上がって、風と荒波とをしかりつけられた。すると風も波も治まり、なぎになった。イエスは彼らに、「あなたがたの信仰はどこにあるのです。」と言われた。弟子たちは驚き恐れて互いに言った。「風も水も、お命じになれば従うとは、いったいこの方はどういう方なのだろう。」こうして彼らは、ガリラヤの向こう側のゲラサ人の地方に着いた。(ルカ8:22-26)
Now on one of those days Jesus and His disciples got into a boat, and He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out. But as they were sailing along He fell asleep ; and a fierce gale of wind descended on the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger. They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing !” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. And He said to them, “Where is your faith ?” They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?” Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.
(Luke 8:22-26)

ここで良く注目されるのは、イエス様が風と荒波をしかりつけて、鎮めるところ。
People usuallly focus on the scene where Jesus scolds the wind and the waves, and calms them down.

だけど、神様は由美先生に語られた。「嵐の前に、何がありましたか？」
However, God asked Ps. Yumi, “What happened before the storm?”

そして由美先生は気づいてしまった！22節で、イエス様が、「さあ、湖の向こう岸へ渡ろう。」と誘われた、ということを！
And she realized it! That Jesus said to disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.”!

１．イエスはあなたを新しい領域に連れて行きたい！Jesus wants to take you to the new sphere!

22節で、「さあ、湖の向こう岸へ渡ろう。」と、イエス様が誘った！！
In verse 22, Jesus said “Let us go over to the other side of the lake”!!
じゃぁ、なんでイエス様は向こう岸へ渡ろう、と誘った？
Then, why did Jesus invited us to go over to the other side?

その時点では、弟子たちはまだ湖の岸辺にいた。
At that point, disciples were still at the shore of the lake.

岸、というのは、制限されている。
That is where they had the limitations.

制限された視界しかない。制限された見方、考え、人間関係しかない。
Limited sights, limited way of seeing things, limited thoughts, and limited personal relationships.

制限された場所にいたら、考えは固まるし、自分の可能性も発揮されないままかもしれない。
When we are in the limited place, our thoughts is limited, and our potential may not be used in full.

停滞、マンネリ化、同じ問題についていつまでも悩んだまま。
Stagnation, being stuck in a rut, and keep worring about the same problem forever.

イエス様が誘われたのは、「あなたの知らない世界へ連れて行きますよ！」ということだった！
Why Jesus invited you? It meant, “I take you to the whole new world!”

イエス様は、あなたの視界を変えたい。
Jesus wants to change your sight.

今いる場所にはない、もっと素晴らしいものを見せたい。
He wants to let you see greater things that you don’t have where you are right now.

あなたを、新しい自分、広くて深い人間関係、今想像もできないような可能性へと連れて行きたい。
He wants to take you to whole new you, wider and deeper personal relationships, and the possibility that you can’t even imagine now!

私たちは、「過去にこれができなかったからできない」、となりやすい。
We tend to say, “I can’t do this because I couldn’t in the past.”

でも、イエス様と一緒ならそうじゃない！
But with Jesus, it’s not!

イエス様は、そこからあなたを本当に新しい世界へ連れて行きたい！
Jesus wants to take you out to the whole new world from there!

そして、イエス様が私たちを誘ったから、私たちも、みんなを誘う！
And because He took us from there, we invite everyone as He did!

あなたの将来には望みがある。―主の御告げ―あなたの子らは自分の国に帰って来る。(エレミヤ 31:17)
So there is hope for your future,” declares the LORD. “Your children will return to their own land. (Jeremiah 31:17)

２．イエスはチャレンジするチャンスをくださる！　Jesus gives us chances to challenge!

さて、イエス様に誘われた弟子たちは、舟を出して湖を渡り始めました！次にどうなったかというと・・・
Well, what happened after disciples started rowing the boat?

舟で渡っている間にイエスはぐっすり眠ってしまわれた。ところが突風が湖に吹きおろして来たので、弟子たちは水をかぶって危険になった。そこで、彼らは近寄って行ってイエスを起こし、「先生、先生。私たちはおぼれて死にそうです。」と言った。イエスは、起き上がって、風と荒波とをしかりつけられた。すると風も波も治まり、なぎになった。(ルカ8:23-24)
But as they were sailing along He fell asleep ; and a fierce gale of wind descended on the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger. They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing !” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. (Luke 8:23-24)

なんとイエス様、ぐっすーり眠ってしまわれた！！
Well, Jesus fell asleep!!

「どういうことーーー！？！？！？」って感じです！
It’s like “Whaaaaaatttt!?!?”

でも、なぜ、イエス様は寝てしまわれた？それにはちゃんと、理由がありました。
But why did Jesus fall asleep? Well, there is a reason for that.

それは、「あなたの出番だ！」ということ！あなたが活躍する出番。
It means, “This is your turn!” Your turn where you be active.

逆境がきても、「やれないやれない、誰かーーー！」ではなくて、励ましあって、「やろうぜ！」という出番。
Not like “I can’t do this, someone help me!!” when you are under hard circumstances, but it’s your turn to say “let’s do this!”, encouraging each other.

わがたましいよ。主をほめたたえよ。主の良くしてくださったことを何一つ忘れるな。(詩篇103:2)
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits–　(Psalm 103:2)

聖書の中の詩編というのを書いたダビデさんが、自分の魂に対して言ったこと。
The verse above is what David in the Bible said to his own soul.

マイナス的な要素を見たときに、失望の中にいるときに、どうする？
What do you do when you see something negative, or when you are in despair?

ダビデは、神様がしてくださったことを思い出した。良いことを思い出した。
David reminded him of what God has done for him. He reminded him of good things.

舟のように、新しい領域に行こうとするとき、嵐にもあう。
When we try to go to the new sphere, sometimes we have storms.

でも、だからってやめていい？そんなことは絶対にない！
But then is it ok to stop there? Of course not!

なんで？
Why is that?

周りを見回してみて。イエス様のこと知らない人、まだまだいーーーっぱいいるから。
Just take a look around you. There are so many people who don’t know Jesus yet.

あなたがたは、『刈り入れ時が来るまでに、まだ四か月ある。』と言ってはいませんか。さあ、わたしの言うことを聞きなさい。目を上げて畑を見なさい。色づいて、刈り入れるばかりになっています。(ヨハネ4:35)
Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.(John 4:35)

弟子たちは「まだだ。」と言う。イエスは「今だ！」と言う！
Discipls say “Not yet.” Jesus says “Now is the time!”

私にはまだまだ…じゃない！！イエスは言う。「みなさんの出番です！」「あなたの出番です！！」
“Not yet for me…”? No! Jesus says to you, “It’s your turn!!”

イエス様の誘いを本当に聞くこと。
Let’s listen to Jesus’ invitation.

チャンスが来たとき、それは、神様がくださったチャンス！そのチャンスを生かそう。
When there’s a chance, that’s from God! Let’s make the most of that chance!

３. イエスはあなたの中にある信仰を目覚めさせてくださる！ Jesus awakes faith that is already in you!

イエスは彼らに、「あなたがたの信仰はどこにあるのです。」と言われた。弟子たちは驚き恐れて互いに言った。「風も水も、お命じになれば従うとは、いったいこの方はどういう方なのだろう。」こうして彼らは、ガリラヤの向こう側のゲラサ人の地方に着いた。(ルカ8:25-26)
And He said to them, “Where is your faith ?” They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?” Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. (Luke 8:25-26)

イエス様が、嵐を鎮められたあとに弟子たちに言われたこと。「あなたがたの信仰はどこにあるのです。」
“Where is your faith?” This is what Jesus said to His disciples after He calmed down the storm.

これって、すごく積極的な質問！
This is such a positive question!

「なぜ信仰がないのですか」、って聞かれなかった。
He didn’t ask them, “Why you don’t have faith?”

あなたの信仰、どこにある？探せ！！と言われた！
Instead, He asked them where their faith was and told them “find it”!

でも、弟子たちがどうだったかというと…
But, how were disciples?

そこで、彼らは近寄って行ってイエスを起こし、「先生、先生。私たちはおぼれて死にそうです。」と言った。イエスは、起き上がって、風と荒波とをしかりつけられた。すると風も波も治まり、なぎになった。(ルカ8:24)
They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing !” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm.　(Luke 8:24)

弟子たちは、自分の信仰に見向きもしなかった。
They didn’t look at their own faith!

嵐の中ではイエスの信仰しか役に立たない、と。
They were like “Only Jesus’ faith works in this storm.”

でもイエス様は、あなたの信仰に力があるんだ、ということを体験させたかった。
But Jesus, He wanted to let them experience that their faith has the power.

信仰が小さい、大きいの問題じゃない。信仰そのものに、命がある。
It doesn’t matter how big or small your faith is. Your faith itself has the life.

聖書の他の箇所では、あなたに、からし種(←めっっちゃちっちゃい！)ほどの信仰があれば、山さえ動く！と言っている。
In the other part of the Bible it says that if you have a faith as small as a mustard seed (which is really tiny!), it can move the mountain!

あなたの中にすでにある、からし種の信仰、それを、嵐のときに使いなさい！ということ。
Jesus’ message is, “Use your faith the size of mustard seed which is already in you when you have storms!”

他のものを、ほかの人を、探すんじゃない。
Don’t look for other things or someone else.

もう、あなたの中に既にあるもの。それを使うこと！
Use what is already in you!

じゃぁ、その信仰はどう始まるか？
Then, how do we start to have faith?

そのように、信仰は聞くことから始まり、聞くことは、キリストについてのみことばによるのです。(ローマ10:17)
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.(Romans 10:17)

信仰は、神様の言葉を聴くことから始まっていく！日曜日の礼拝で、日々のジャーナリングで。
Faith starts from hearing the word of God! At Sunday services, and through journaling everyday.

でも、聖書を開いているときも開いていない時も、いつも、神様と話をしよう！
But let’s talk to God all the time, regardless of when we open the Bible or not!

信仰が命です。このからし種で嵐をおさめるんだ！という、強い人になろう！
Faith itself is so important! Let’s be such a strong person who says “I calm down the storm with this mustard seed!”

イエスは、愛をもって、あなたにチャレンジする。向こう岸に行けるよ！と信じて、チャレンジしてくれる。
Jesus challenges you out of love. He believes that we can go over to the other side, and challenges us.

チャレンジを通して、イエス様は、あなたの心の領域も広げていってくださる。
Through those challenges, He can widen your heart’s area.

神のことばは生きていて、力があり、両刃の剣よりも鋭く、たましいと霊、関節と骨髄の分かれ目さえも刺し通し、心のいろいろな考えやはかりごとを判別することができます。 (ヘブル4:12)
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

神様の言葉は、あなたが今思っていること、考えていることを判別してくれる。
The word of God can judge your thoughts you have right now.

そして、実は、イエス様の声っていうのは、本っ当ーーーにあなたが求めている声。
And, actually, the voice of Jesus is what you are truly longing to hear the most!

今あなたがどんな状況にいても、神様は語ってくれている！
God is talking to you right now regardless of what situation you are in.

イエス様自身があなたを導いている！
Jesus Himself is leading you!

イエス様はいつでも、あなたを新しい領域へと誘っています。励ましています。
Jesus is always inviting you to the whole new world, and is always encouraging you.

いつでも、イエス様の誘いに応答しましょう！
Let’s respond to His invitation at any time!

10月のJ-MIX、テーマは「得意技！」
His Call Church moved into Sakae this year! International Friends Night ended its era, and J-MIX has started!
It is all for meeting more young people who are full of possibilities!
The theme for J-MIX in October is “My Special move is…”!

今日は、政人先生初のJ-MIXでのメッセージ、「オリジナルで勝負しろ！」をここでシェアします！
Today I’m going to share Ps. Masato’s very first message at J-MIX, “Fight with who you are!” here.

オリジナルで勝負しろ！！
Fight with who you are!!

このメッセージは、全ての人へ向けられている。あなたにも。
This message is for every one of us. Of course for you as well.

多くの人は、誰かになろうと必死。
Many people are trying so hard to become someone else.

成功している人を見ると、その人みたいになろうとする。
When we see someone successful, we try to become like that person.

自分が、自分以上の誰かにならなきゃ、あの人以上にならなきゃ、と思うことがある。
We sometimes think that we have to be more than ourselves, or to be better than that person.

でも実は、オリジナルで勝負することこそが、勝利の秘訣！あなた以上の武器は無いんです。
Actually, the key to success is to fight with just who you are! There’s nothing superior to it.

それはなぜか…？
But why is that…?

１．神様は、誰かになるのではなく、最高のあなたになるようにあなたを創った！
God made us, not to be someone else, but to be the best us!

ここで政人先生は、一つの絵を紹介してくれた。
Then Ps. Masato showed us one picture.

それは、少女の横顔の絵だった。
It was a picture of the sideface of a girl.

誰かが、100何万円かで購入したそう。
Someone bought the picture for about 100 milion yen.

でも後で、その絵の隅っこに、ある人の指紋が見つかった。
However, someone’s fingerprint was found at the corner of the picture later.

それはなんと、あの有名な、レオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチのものだった！！
The fingerprint was of Leonardo da Vinci!!

それで、その絵の価値が130億円ほどにまで上がってしまった！！
The value of the picture rose to about 13 billion yen!!

でも、その絵自体は、その前と後で、何も変わっていない。
But the picture itself, there wasn’t any change.

その絵の価値を決めたのは、何でしょう？
What determined the value of the picture then?

価値を決めたのは、誰がその絵を描いたか！そこだった！
It was who wrote the picture that determined the value!

私たちクリスチャンは、神様が私たち人間を創ったと信じている。
We, Christians, believe that God made human beings.

だから、神様とつながるとき、“本当の自分らしさ”を発揮できる。
That is why we believe that we can enjoy being true ourselves when we are connected with God.

なぜなら、人それぞれ、“自分らしさ”、その人らしさを、あなたらしさをつくったのは、その一人ひとりを創った神様だから！
Bacause, it is God who made each one of us that made uniqueness for each one of us!

そして、自分らしさ、オリジナリティーを本当に知るには、自我、自己中心を解決しないといけない。
If we want to know the true originarity of ourselves, we have to solve the problem of being selfish, or self-centeredness. 

例えば、こういうことってない？
For example, have you ever had something like this?

「かっこいいね！/ かわいいね！」って言われて、「そんなことない」って返すこと。
When someone say to us “you are good-looking/pretty”, we respond like “no, not that”.

できていないところや、弱みを見て、それをオリジナリティと間違えてしまうときもあるかもしれない。
Or maybe we mistake our weak points or things we can’t do as our originarity.

それが、オリジナリティを消してしまっている！
But those are the things that takes out our originarity!

自分中心だから。自分ばかりを見て、最高の自分になるように創ってくださった神様を見ないから。
Because we are self-centered. Bacause we look at ourselves too much and never look at God who made us to be the best us.

だけど、自己中心は、解決ができる、けど、自分では解決ができない。
There is a solution to the problem of being self-centered, but we can’t solve it by ourselves.

(1ペテロ 2:24) そして自分から十字架の上で、私たちの罪をその身に負われました。それは、私たちが罪を離れ、義のために生きるためです。キリストの打ち傷のゆえに、あなたがたは、いやされたのです。
(1 Peter 2:24) and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness ; for by His wounds you were healed.

(2 コリント 5:17) だれでもキリストのうちにあるなら、その人は新しく造られた者です。古いものは過ぎ去って、見よ、すべてが新しくなりました。
(2 Corinthians 5:17) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!  

自分ばかりを見る自己中心を、聖書では、「罪」と呼ぶ。
The Bible calls our self-centeredness “sin.”

「罪」の本来の意味は、「的を外す」。アーチェリーで的を外すように。
The original meaning of “sin” is “to miss the mark.” Like in archery.

自分ばかりを見て的を外したままじゃなくて、正しい的、神様に方向転換してつながるとき、私たちは本当の自分らしさがわかる。
Instead of keeping being off the mark by looking only at ourselves, when we turn to the right mark which is God and be connected to Him, then we will know the true uniqueness and originarity of us.

私たちの罪のために死んでくれたイエスを信じること。そして神様とつながったら、あなただけのオリジナリティを生かすことができる！
Believing in Jesus who died for our sins. And when we are connected to God, we can make the most of our originarity!

(イザヤ43:1) だが、今、ヤコブよ。あなたを造り出した方、主はこう仰せられる。イスラエルよ。あなたを形造った方、主はこう仰せられる。「恐れるな。わたしがあなたを贖ったのだ。わたしはあなたの名を呼んだ。あなたはわたしのもの。
(Isaiah 43:1) But now, this is what the LORD says– he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

２．やりたいことから始まり、賜物を神と人々のために生かす！
Starting with things we want to do, make the most of our gifts for God and people!

あなたがやりたいことは何ですか？何をすることが好きですか？
What are things you want to do? What do you like to do?

音楽をする人は、最初は「俺の音楽」「俺の歌」、そこから始まるかもしれない。
If you are a music person, first it may by like “my music”, “my song”, it may start like that.

だけどそれは、ただの自己実現でしかない。すごく小さい。
But that is only a self-fulfillment, and is so tiny.

そうじゃなくて、神様があなたに与えたユニークさを、神様を愛し、人々を愛することに使ってもらうこと！
No that, but letting your uniqueness God has given you be used for loving God and people!

神様のでっかいビジョンの中で、あなたにしかできないこと、あなたでしか貢献できないことを育てていくこと！
In the great vision of God, growing what you can do only and what only you can contribute!

それはちょうど、体の一部のようなもの。
It’s just like being a part of one body.

(ローマ12:5-8) 大ぜいいる私たちも、キリストにあって一つのからだであり、ひとりひとり互いに器官なのです。 (6) 私たちは、与えられた恵みに従って、異なった賜物を持っているので、もしそれが預言であれば、その信仰に応じて預言しなさい。 (7) 奉仕であれば奉仕し、教える人であれば教えなさい。 (8) 勧めをする人であれば勧め、分け与える人は惜しまずに分け与え、指導する人は熱心に指導し、慈善を行なう人は喜んでそれをしなさい。
(Romans 12:5-8) so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others (6) We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. (7) If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; (8) if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

私たちは、体の器官で必要ないところがないように、みんな必要。みんながかけがえのない存在。
Each one of us is needed, just as no parts of the body is unnecessary. Everyone is all precious.

それぞれ与えられた役割があって、それぞれが必要で、みんなが成長して全体も大きく成長する。
Each one has his/her role to play, and everyone is essential, and the whole body grows richly as each one grows.

それがチャーチ！
That is church!

もう、人と比べる必要はない！
Never have to compare with anybody!

それぞれがオリジナルで、みんな最高傑作で、みんな必要。
Each one of us is original, and is a masterpiece, and is necessary.

(エペソ 2:10)　私たちは神の作品であって、良い行ないをするためにキリスト・イエスにあって造られたのです。神は、私たちが良い行ないに歩むように、その良い行ないをもあらかじめ備えてくださったのです。
(Ephesians 2:10) For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. 

是非、あなたらしさを追求して。
Let’s pursue being who we are.
